INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CELL
The EDP Division, now known as IT Cell, was established in 1984 in the Directorate to aid and advise the Directorate in computerization of statistical data and publications.
Following are main activities of the IT Division:
- IT Cell provides technical guidance latest IT resources and softwares to all the divisions of Directorate and all the district and block offices of DES.
- This directorate conducts the National Sample Survey rounds every year. The round wise sample data are being validated by this division for tabulation and preparation of State NSS reports.
- Estimates on various NSS rounds are being generated by this Division.
- Report writing of various rounds of NSS surveys are being done by IT division.
- The IT Cell also publishes Quarterly Newsletter on the Departmental activities on the Website.
- Preparation of e-publications of the publications published by the Directorate.
- Maintaining and updating website with the help of DoIT&C / RISL.
